HELLO! my name is elizabeth and i blog over at Oak + Oats. meg is my best friend, so it is way fun for me to be guest posting on her awesomely fun blog. we also have an exciting giveaway for you so that is pretty cool!!
last week i shared about how one of "those things" that i really wanted to do was spend time daily with Jesus. just about the same time i came across the Naptime Diaries lent journal and i was inspired to journey through that. YOU ALL are invited to join me! in fact, i am going to have a link up on my blog so that you can share posts of your journey (as personal or as privately as you want to be!!)
i think it is so important to spend time digging deeper into Jesus ESPECIALLY when there are so many responsibilities, dreams, goals, needs, desires, and aspirations filling up our lives. we need a rock and a sustainer - encouragement and energy.
i started yesterday when i got it (because i was just too excited) but the good news is that the journal is not dated and you can join in whenever! also, the first section is on hope. and that is just so hopeful #blessed #amiright. okay, sorry i got a little sidetracked by the new jimmy fallon hashtag skit that also came out this week (you should watch it sometime!) but in all seriousness, those five, ten, thirty minutes in the morning are day changers for me!
EXCITING NEWS!!!
i also have an extra one of these journals and just because i want you to experience Jesus in a new/ fresh way YOU can enter to win one!! good luck! PS: i will mail it ANYWHERE so everyone who wants can enter!

DO YOU HAVE A QUIET TIME IN THE MORNING?
what does that look like to you?
Right now mornings are too early with little people who think it's fun to get up before it's even light outside. (Not cool!) So I get to have some quiet time during their nap/rest time. Right now I'm going through a chronological Bible and reading some online studies like She Reads Truth. I kind of miss really digging into a certain Scripture, but reading through the Bible as one big story has been fun too!
A successful quiet time = a successful day. Sitting down at my kitchen table with breakfast and my devotional & Bible is great. What's your favorite quiet time Meg?

I am hoping that this journal helps motivate me to get up early enough to have my quiet time in the morning. Currently I am too lazy to get up and always sleep in so I have to have my quiet time in the evenings.
What a fun giveaway! I would love to journal in this, mine is almost used up!
Regardless of when I have a quiet time, it must always be accompanied with a steamy mug of coffee or tea =)
I'll be honest, my quiet time is something that is hard for me to consistently have. But, whenever I do, those are some of the most precious and best time of my days! Great giveaway! :)
I would love to win! This year I have been more intentional about spending daily time with the Lord, and I love it! Linking over from Elah Tree today :)
thanks!! I am working on creating a more inviting office space! (i share with my husband! ) and the journal is honestly amazing. I am already several days into my copy! I am crossing my fingers that you win, but if not, you should totally grab one! They are pretty affordable!
me too Amanda!
ME TOO! I just started being more consistent these last couple weeks and it has been huge for me! life is not perfect but I really want to get in the habit of getting up just 30 minutes earlier and spending time waking up, drinking coffee, journaling, listening to worship music, praying, and spending time in the word.
I agree! first thing I do is make my coffee, then i sit down to open my Bible and turn on some worship music!
this one is so fun! I hope you win. it is a journey through 40 days of scriptures. I am on day 4 already and loving it!
Paige, I SO understand! I was having the hardest time even getting up to get to work on time but having something practical to do has helped me a lot! i also just roll out of bed and head to the kitchen to start my coffee. I am finding that mornings where i slowly wake up at my kitchen table with Jesus, I am able to get ready faster and be to work on time!
That sounds perfect (except replace the coffee with a hot tea :) )!
I can imagine that littles mess up schedules :) I love switching things up. doing a study that goes really in depth and then reading more of a broad overview. it helps to get different perspectives!
I agree Alison!
yes! i'll take that. sometimes I am tempted to make tea instead :)

I like coffee but only occasionally. I am definitely more of a tea kind of girl :) But I totally get the appeal of coffee.
i have a really hard time getting up in the mornings, i must admit. so my time with Jesus is sometimes spent in my car on lunch breaks or at night when i get home. :)
She Reads Truth is great! I actually printed off a list of reading through the Bible chronologically, but I haven't kept up with it. oops! I need to get caught up!
First of all, I love your desk space. This is the first giveaway like this I have ever seen, and I think it's so awesome. I think this journal would help me focus more and remind me to be consistent with my time
