WEEKEND UPDATE.

RECAPS
-- I'm so spontaneous. ;) Really, I'm not. I am such a planner. However, I did something crazy and spur-of-the-moment on Friday and registered for the Maiedae Mixer!! BAH! Can you believe it? I had decided not to go because of the price, but they were offering tickets at a discounted price and two of my blogging friends were wanting to go, so we jumped at the opportunity. I am so excited!! Are any of you attending??

-- Blogging for books. I mentioned this company a couple of weeks ago, and I ordered my first book from them to review! I got "The Blender Girl" and can't wait to get started on some of the recipes!

-- Same job, new office. My company has moved into a brand new building and I've been settling in and getting organized since I got home from vacation. The new space is so fresh and clean and such a great work environment. I love it! My drive to work is a little longer now, but I do get to watch the sunrise and drive over the river each morning, which are two of my favorite things. :)

-- Watching the classics. I found my old VHS copies of the Anne of Green Gables series this weekend and proceeded to watch them all. Growing up, when my dad and brother would go on camping trips together, my mom and I would make pizza, pull out the sleeper sofa, and watch Anne. It's just so good! Also, You've Got Mail made an appearance this weekend and had me craving a trip to New York in the fall. Don't you just love New York in the fall?

OTHER FINDS
-- Why It Doesn't Matter How You Feel About Your Friends
-- This IKEA commercial had me giggling the whole time. Clever, IKEA. Clever.

-- This take on smores looks yummylicious.
-- I love this cute camping shirt!

Meg, the description of you watching Anne of Green Gables with your mom while camping.... It just made me feel so cozy!! Haha. You know how sometimes you see a Fall-ish commercial where people are snuggling up by the fire with a warm cup of hot chocolate, and you get this fuzzy feeling? Yeah. That's what I mean by cozy.... lol. I wish I could relate to your love for going to New York in the Fall :( I have dreamed of going there for as long as I can remember.... my dream might be coming true next March though, hopefully! :D What kind of work do you do, if you don't mind me asking? I love knowing what people do outside of their blogging life :)

Aww!! I love that! Haha. Cozy is the best.
Also, I've never been to New York in the fall (I was quoting "You've Got Mail" :)) BUT it's on my bucket list. I've been once and it was in June...right after I graduated from high school.
I work in marketing and advertising for a company that does payment plan management for orthodontists and dentists. Super exciting. ;) My degree is in interior design, but I never found a job in that after graduating from college. :)

Ummmm yes. Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan forever.

Haha what is that winky-face for, Meg!? I think that that's awesome :) I am a business major, and am probably going to minor in marketing! I loveeeeee that side of things. That's so crazy that you are now working in a field totally different than what you planned for, but hey....... you never know where life will take you until your there! Oh, and unfortunately I am the slowest person ever to catch onto movie quotes & jokes.... so that's why I didn't catch on to your "You've Got Mail" quote, lol. You will have to let me know of some of the places to see in New York, so that I will know when I go in March! :D
