Setting monthly goals for myself has really become one of my favorite things. It's a way for me to keep track of the things I am able to accomplish throughout the year no matter how small or how large the goal. One by one, they add up, and I am able to look back and see what all I was able to check of my list. It's really encouraging!
1 | Read two chapters in The Circle Maker - Check! I'm really enjoying the little bit I've read so far. I'll try to do a review for y'all once I am finished with it!
2 | Work out four days a week - Blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. That's how my workouts went in February. ;) I got in a handful last month, but nothing like I had wanted. There's always this month, though! Right? Right.
3 | Complete five more chapters in Blog Life - Yes! I finally buckled down and went through five more chapters. There are several small blog items I want to update and freshen up after having finished them.
MARCH GOALS
1 | Work on my photography skills - I bought a 50MM lens in February to replace my kit lens that I've used since buying my Canon over 4 years ago! It's definitely taking me some time to adjust to a fixed lens, but I'm excited to practice and grow in my photography!
2 | Read two chapters in The Circle Maker - I checked off two chapters last month and I plan on making my way through this book more in March. My problem is starting too many books at once and taking forever to finish all of them. Ha! Hence why I have to set goals for myself.
3 | Complete four more chapter in Blog Life - Five chapters was a little much for me last month, but I did get it done! I know I have several other things going on this month, so I'm setting my March goal for 4 chapters. A couple more months and I'll have finished this course!

4 | Drink at least 80oz of water a day - Ha! Okay, so this might seem random, but it's sometimes hard for me to get in all the water I need to be drinking every day. I have to force myself to drink water even when I don't feel thirsty, but it's just another thing I need to do on my journey to living a consistently healthy life. Even if that does mean I have to pee every five minutes. ;)
BONUS: I've been doing Duolingo for over sixty days now, and I'm still going strong! This doesn't mean I can carry on a conversation in Spanish yet, but I'm learning little by little. You guys really should try it out!

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS THIS MONTH?
I actually just posted my first monthly goal post this morning here: http://apaperarrow.blogspot.com/2015/03/march-goals.html
I started drinking water at the beginning of the year (I've never been a water-drinker), but what worked for me was this: I bought a huge 64 oz water bottle. I fill it up at the beginning of the work day and I MAKE SURE it's empty by the time I leave at 5:00. I then drink water with dinner as often as possible to add in the extra 16 oz. Hopefully you'll find something that will work for you!
As for working out as often as you want: I work at a college, so we have a gym on campus which makes it SO EASY to work out, but I go to group exercise classes 3x a week, and I always walk for at least 30 minutes during my lunch break every Wednesday. Group exercise helps because it pushes me to try my hardest and it gives me someone to follow.
Good luck with your goals this month and I look forward to seeing what you accomplish!
drinking more water is so important!! It's one of my year long goals....but I haven't done well with it yet. I need to find a better solution than just hoping! Good luck :D
I love your goals! I saw the circle maker. I have so many books to read.
Ah! And we're adding another book to the list! ;)
Oh! that's so cool about duolingo. I need to do it consistently. How do you manage to do it everyday? Also, I force myself to drink water too. A camelback water bottle makes it sooo much easier for me.
I recently bought my first prime lens too! I haven't quite gotten the hang of having a fixed lens yet but I'm excited to try it out more. I have Duolingo on my phone but have only used it a little bit. Hopefully someday I'll use it consistently like you have!
i am so dang pumped to see these new photos you push out.
it's just going to grow your dang photography like woah!
side note: i need to start doing duolingo dangit!
Why is water drinking so hard?! haha. That's a goal I've been working on, myself. Good luck with all your other goals!
Drinking more water is something I've been needing to do for ages. At home, I'm fine with it, but at work? It gets WAYYY harder! I need to attach a water bottle to my body or something so I can get more in, haha. :)
And working out + practicing more photography? Also sounds like goals I need to pick up and put into more practice, too! Hooray for getting a 50mm, Meg! :)
Peeing every five minutes sounds a little extreme. Haha! But I get ya, it's seem so difficult to have enough water intake sometimes. Have tons of fun with all the learning this month and good luck!
Story of my life being in the middle of so many books. I should make that my goal for next week - finish all the books I have started before starting a new one.
Drinking water is such a hard one for me!
(Peeing every 5 minutes is almost inevitable!)
Good luck with this month's goals! :)
Thanks! So far so good with the water!
Yes. I need to do that too. Haha.
Thanks girl!
I am drinking SO MUCH WATER these days, but it's been really good for me! I feel better!
Ahh I love my 50mm, but I'm still getting used to using it!
Thanks Stacia! I've been doing great with my water intake so far!
psh. thanks girl. can't wait to see your new camera in 2 weeks!
Woohoo!
Right? It is SO different, but the picture quality is so great!
I set my goal on the lowest option available haha! So it takes me 5-10 minutes a day, which is totally doable for me.
Yesss. Which I haven't started yet. HA.
It's been good so far!
Thanks girl! It definitely takes some discipline on my part, but it's been going well this month!
Yeah girl! I take my big tumbler to work every day and fill it up throughout the day. So far so good with my water intake!
Congrats and good luck with your goals!
