.quality time.

I had to run some errands this afternoon, so I texted my girl, alison, to see if she wanted to join me and have some one on one time.  Alison is one of the precious girls in my core group.  See here.

So we met up for lunch and chat time at Panera.
We love us some Panera.

We spent time talking about life, missions, college & boys.
You know. All the important stuff.
And of course we laughed.
A lot.

Then it was off to Barnes & Noble for Alison to do some valentine's shopping.
And I ended up buying this...

I heard about this book when I was living in Texas and have wanted to read it ever since.  I've heard only good things about it and I'm super excited about diving into it... once I get done with the other books on my list, of course.

I mentioned to Alison that Narnia was at the cheap theater.
$3.  What what.
She hadn't seen it yet.
::i'd seen it twice. i love Narnia, remember?::
So we headed to the movies.
I love going to a movie with someone who hasn't seen it yet.
I love seeing their reactions to everything.
Let me tell you something.
If you want someone fun to go to the movies with...take Alison.
We laughed uncontrollably on numerous occasions.
So much fun.
I didn't cry my eyes out this time like I did the first time I saw the movie.
Can't scare Alison off on the first movie we see together. ;)

I so desire to be able to bury my head in Aslan's mane like Lucy did.
I want to go to that far country.
I know this world is not my home.
I long for the day when I get to see my Savior face to face.
And I love this...

Aslan, will we ever meet with you in our world?

...
You shall.

...

How?
...
Because there I have another name. You must learn to know me by it.
This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that
knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.
...
And this was the ending to our day.
So perfect.

the skies proclaim the work of His hands."
