weekend update.

FAVORITE MOMENTS
- photoshoots and exploring downtown chattanooga with the bestie
- watching some of the annual chattanooga rowing regatta
- the leaves seemed to all change overnight and the result is glorious!
- campfires in the back yard and roasting s'mores with good friends
- wearing moccasins all day every day

// while walking to my car from dinner, the little boy in front of me (he was about 8 or 9) was apparently very distracted and veered off from his mom and grandmother. he walked to the driver's side of my car right as i was clicking the unlock button on my remote. he saw the interior lights come on and proceeded to open the passenger door.  i was nervous he was going to hit the car next to me and i was almost to him by this point, so i playfully said, "i don't think that's your car!" he looked up at me with a bewildered face and cried "i'm sorry!" and then proceeded to still climb into my car!! hahahahahah. i couldn't stop laughing. his mom, hearing the laughter, ran around my car, grabbed him, and kept apologizing. that was my friday night.

FUN FINDS
this made me smile so big my face hurt. the guy in the van is my favorite.
- free photoshop brushes
- i'm going to start using this excuse ALL THE TIME
- i'm obsessed with all things feather these days and i LOVE this feather DIY

happy monday, friends!

I can't stop laughing about the little boy, hilarious! a much better situation than the one time a homeless man tried to get into my car with me lol.

stay tuned for more fall pictures later this week! i was drooling over them last night. hahahah...good thing i'm not a creeper. and thanks! i heart disqus.

my stomach hurt i was laughing so much. i mean, i laugh in awkward situations anyway, but this was just too much. i couldn't handle it like an adult. i immediately turned into a 3 yeard old.
some photos will be up in a couple days! stay tuned :)

haha yes! also, fall here is so incredible! the leaves are just showing off these days.

That story was awesome! I love that he still tried to climb in your car! And hello, Photoshop brushes! Yes!

Megan McIlvaine said...

i know! that's what shocked me most!
those photoshop brushes are great, right? now if only i still have photoshop on my computer. i lost my program when my computer crashed a few months ago, and i was using a trial version, but the trial is up. and now adobe makes you pay per month for photoshop instead of just buying the program and getting to keep if for as long as you live. i don't like it.

I always thought that monthly subscription was so weird. We thought we were going to have to do that with Maya for Tyler's online class, but luckily we were able to download the student version for free. Agreed with the not liking it either.

That incident with the little boy is hilarious! I love that he still proceeded to sit down in your car--kids are way too funny. :)

And I love those links, too! I've seen that highway singing driver guy and I loved it and I still love it now. I'm definitely not bold enough to do it myself, but it would be so fun/funny to experience myself!

Oh, and those feathers? Soooo pretty. I'm obsessed with anything gold right now and I also love feathers and anything DIY-ish, too. Such a great find!

p.s. Is it obvious that I'm behind on reading your blog? Because I really and truly am but I'm glad I'm getting a chance to catch up because I'm loooving these posts of yours, girl!

Megan McIlvaine said...

kids are the best!! i still giggle randomly about that incident.

Megan McIlvaine said...

bahaha. i know!

gosh, the guy singing on the highway...the greatest! i'd be too nervous to do it myself as well. i want to make those feathers!

i'm so glad you're getting caught up! missed you, friend! :)

Megan, I missed you and your blog! :)

p.s. I noticed you changed to Disqus--how are you liking it so far? I've been thinking a lot about switching but just haven't taken the plunge yet.

Megan McIlvaine said...

i love it!! it's so easy and i don't have to worry about no-reply blogger comments anymore! i get to respond to everyone :)

Kiki said...

So true! I like that and I also like that it not only posts the comment to your blog but it also sends an email notification of the response, too. I think the pros are outweighing the cons of changing now (the con mostly being my current laziness to install it!). :)

Megan McIlvaine said...

haha! there are so many more pros :) i also thought it was going to be super difficult to install, but it wasn't. it took maybe 5 minutes.
