on the water | adventures in tennessee

i got back from my california vaca on sunday night and am still in recovery mode from vacation AND the time change. thankfully, i happened to have taken yesterday off work as well, which might have been the best accidental planning ever. having a day to relax and catch up after a vacation is a big help. isn't it funny that we always need a vacation after a vacation?

and what better way to relax than with a morning out on the water! we loaded up the boats and headed out for a canoe and kayaking adventure. time spent in my kayak on the water is one of my favorite things. there's something very therapeutic about it. not to mention it's also a great workout. :)

it was the perfect last little adventure before heading back to the work world.

how do you adventure?

Routines are everything to me. Whenever I get out of mine (even for vacation), exhaustion almost immediately sets in! Then it takes me a day or two to get back in the groove. I completely understand!

I wish I could have written this post. I'm definitely going to need to live near a lake or a calm river to kayak. I miss it.
