throwback thursday | adventures in colorado

i'm sort of on a throwback thursday kick when it comes to posts lately. i hope y'all don't mind. last year my work sent me to colorado springs for a tradeshow, and as you probably know, colorado springs isn't a bad place to have to go on a work trip. for me it was especially exciting because my best friend lives there and we got to have some hangout time in between working hours!

i've got colorado on the brain because i will heading out there a week from today to spend a long weekend with a few of my favorite people. i cannot wait. colorado is perfect in the summer. warm but not too hot. if it rains, it'll be sunny again in approximately 5 minutes. and there is no humidity. that's right, southerners.

no. humidity. it's like heaven for my hair. just one more reason for me to move there! ;)

here's a little tour of one of my favorite sights in the springs: garden of the gods.

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO COLORADO?
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO VISIT?

oooh! well if we're talking colorado springs, i'd say garden of the gods, maybe take a drive up pike's peak, their zoo is awesome, and there are tons of hiking/climbing spots!

I used to live in Colorado, actually just a short drive north of the Springs, and absolutley loved it! Favortie place in the area is definitely garden of the gods. I have never seen anything like it. And favorite thing to do in Colorado is spending a weekend in Estes Park and going hiking in the Rockys. Breathtakingly beautiful! I wish you tons of fun on your trip...please share tons of instagrams so I can imagine being their myself ;-)

I <3 Colorado. We used to go with my youth group to hike Mt. Sneffles each year. Then the kids I nannied moved to Colorado Springs so I visited them a lot and would watch them when their parents went on vacation. I just came from The Great Sand Dunes in Colorado and it's AMAZING! June 17th I'll be back in CO Springs to vacation with my family. It's just a fun state - clean air, hiking, mountains! The pic is of the Great Sand Dunes. It's only 2 1/2 hours south of CO Springs - you should check it out sometime =)

I think I remember reading this the first time! Wahoo! My favorite place to visit is currently TENNESSEE! Yep, that's right!

This is definitely one of the places on my travel list! As is Denver, because that is where my best friend lives! Also, no humidity is such a win for the west. My favorite place to visit is somewhere I haven't been before! I have a big itch to travel somewhere new. But, if I'm picking a place I've already been, I would choose Yosemite or San Fran. :)
