READING | Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This is my first time reading through the series and I am finally on the last book! It's so good that I don't want to put it down, but then again I don't want it to end too quickly because then it will be over. Obvi. I get really attached to fictional characters and have a hard time letting them go. ;) This seventh book is going to make a mess of me. It's already made me cry multiple times and I'm not even ten chapters in!
ENJOYING | Summer weather. This summer has been so much warmer and less rainy than last summer(it rained every single day) and I have been taking full advantage of that. I swear I didn't get enough Vitamin D last year and my body definitely felt it. I spend as much time as I can outside these days, soaking up a healthy amount of sun and staying active.
LISTENING TO | NEEDTOBREATHE on repeat all day long. Music is one of my favorite things on this earth, and I cannot stop listening to those guys these days. I have their albums Rivers in the Wasteland, The Reckoning, and The Outsiders playing over and over.
PHOTOGRAPHING | Mountains. I was in North Carolina for the weekend and spent lots of time capturing the sunset and the mist that floated magically over the mountain ranges. Pictures coming soon!
FEELING | Encouraged. Life has been weighing heavily on me for the past few months. I've been filled with unanswered questions, confusion about decisions that need to be made, etc. Jesus always knows when I've had enough and need some encouragement, and last week He gave me that. I was brought to tears because I so often doubt the Lord, but He always comes through with blessings abundant.
WHAT IS ON YOUR "CURRENTLY" LIST?
GAH I am so jealous with how far you are in HP I am still on book #5. bleh. I need to set aside time each night for a chapter or two!
i'll take your summer weather! we have had rain non-stop for days (well the last two days, no rain, but it is coming again tomorrow!) it has been hot, hot, HOT here and humid too, so outside time is like "death time" haha.
Needtobreathe :) I haven't really listened to their new album too much. I like their older stuff so we shall see.
I WANT MOUNTAINS. I am so jealous.
and yay for encouragement!! it is always so awesome when we give things over to God and he restores us with encouragement
Love this! I read the HP books a while ago, but just went through all the movies within a few days with the hubs last year. So so great! I'm also fairly in love with the NC mountains...we have family that lives near Asheville and I can't get enough of the scenery!
NEEDTOBREATHE is a fixture in our house as well! My husband and I both adore them. Awesome awesome music. I am so glad you are feeling encouraged! Those rough patches are SO hard. I doubt God's providence so often it is embarrassing and brings me to tears as well. God is good though. I have to constantly remind myself of that. :)
NEEDTOBREATHE is my favorite too! So, so good!
Needtobreathe = YES! And I haven't finished reading all the HP books, but I really must! Happy to meet you!
I stopped by from the link-up and like everyone else... YES To needtobreathe! :) haha, I never get tired of listening to them!! And thanks for that last reminder- I've been struggling to remember that God's plan and God's timing is perfect, even when I'm impatient ;)
Sometimes I wish I hadn't yet read certain books so I could enjoy them for the first time again - the Harry Potter series is a fun one, and wouldn't it be great to have that lined up for my summer vacation fun! So glad to hear you're feeling encouraged lately - that's a great answer for the "feeling category" :) Thanks for linking up!
We loved HP! When my husband and I read it together, there were several times where stayed up til 1 or 2 in the morning to finish a book. I loved your "feeling" section...so beautiful and true. Thanks for sharing that! -Jess
How have you never read Harry Potter?!?!!

I know, I know. It is shocking. But I'm reading them now and already want to re-read!! :)
Needtobreathe is the best!! Glad you had a good weekend in the mountains :)
So happy to hear you had a great weekend! i'll spend the upcoming weekend in the mountains too and I am so excited :) Needtobreathe has been on repeat here too!
I am glad you are feeling encouraged!
So Amy (from Taking Steps Home) just talked to me about you and how you are from TN too! So I thought I'd pop over and say hi. From your TN posts I'm guessing you are in East TN somewhere so we're actually still pretty far away (I'm in Memphis), but I spent ten years living in Crossville as a kid. That sort of counts, right? :)
Oh, and also, I LOVE the Harry Potter books! I love to read, but I seldom re-read a book (and even less common a whole series), but I definitely have re-read that series several times. I just love it! At least you are past the ending of book 6. That was rough for me!
I love needtobreathe! They are one of my favorites! :)
LOVE Needtobreathe. Definitely one of my go-tos. So glad you're currently feeling encouraged! :) That's a good place to be. I saw something on Pinterest today that said, "When I am faithless, You are faithful." That one pretty much socked me right in the stomach! Tears, because it's so, so true.
I'm soooo happy you're feeling encouraged and that God has given you rest. Praying for you friend! I'm excited to see your photos from the mountains. You always take such beautiful pictures!
Summer time weather! I am loving all your lovely summer photos! I'm so glad Jesus is filling your days with encouragement! Yay!
Your first time reading through Harry Potter? I would do just about anything to relive the first time I read through those books. I hope you're liking them as much as I have!
they are SO good!
Thanks friend!!
Thanks Jenna! The mountains were so glorious! Can't wait to show y'all photos!
Oh that is a good one!..and a great reminder.
Yesssssss. Gosh, they are so good.
Aw! I love Amy...she is great! I live in Chattanooga, so we are a few hours apart!
I totally want to re-read Harry Potter! It's just so much to take in!
Me too. :) Thanks for always being a great listener.
Enjoy your time in the mountains!
Yes! Love their music so much!
Hah! That is great. I love books that are so good you can't put them down!
They are such fun books! And thanks girl! Love this link-up y'all have. :)
Oh you are welcome! Glad it was encouraging for you!
Oh my. You've got to finish the books! So so good. :)
AMEN!
Yes! It is embarrassing how often I doubt and how often Jesus reminds me that he is taking care of me!
Oh Asheville is beautiful!! I haven't been in a few years and really want to go back.
You've gotta catch up with me! ;)
Oh girl, it is WAY humid here. My poor hair... Hahahah "death time"...so true.
Oooooh listen to their new album! It really is great.
You will get some mountains in October during blog retreat!
Thank you so much, Cindy! That was really sweet of you to say. :)
Oh man...I am slowly making my way through book 7 so it's not over too quickly. :) I'm going to miss my magical BFFs. :)
I just recently found your blog but I love what you have to say - you're posts are always full of encouragement and honesty!
I just HAD to comment since you mentioned Harry Potter. I've been obsessed with the books (and movies) since they came out and I've been re-reading them. I'm just finishing Deathly Hallows! It's amazing how many new things you pick up after you re-read your favorite books!
