WEEKEND UPDATE.

RECAPS
1 | I got to hang out with my favorite kiddos on Saturday night. We played "lava monster" and jumped from pillow to pillow on the floor while trying not to fall in the lava AKA the carpet. I love kids' imaginations.

2 | Oh my stars. I binge watched the first season of The Paradise this weekend. I was on pins and needles the whole time because I didn't know what was going to happen!! I kept messaging my best friend (who watched the show right before me) my reactions to scenes every five minutes.

3 | My mama and I went to see The Hundred Foot Journey, which I thought was great!! I love Hellen Mirren, fun accents, and watching people cook delicious food.

I need to get my hands on that harry potter print - when you tagged me alerting me to it ages ago I was all "I WILL PRINT THIS TONIGHT!" and now I've realized tonight never happened! (sad day!) also lava games = for the win! I love imagination games!
ANNDDDD thank you for the shout-out you are sooo sweet.
I'm clicking on over to find out more for blogging for books!

I literally just started singing "story of my life" hahahhahahah

Glad to hear it! Thanks for not "spoiling it", but still telling me that I'll be glad I kept watching! :)

I am not much of a binge watcher at all. I like dragging things out so that I can enjoy them longer! I think I've watched 4 episodes so far. And yes, there are several nice characters, but the overall theme just feels SAD to me. I don't even know who I'm rooting for in this one. I'm going to keep watching, now that I've heard both of you say how it turns out!

Yeah! Well If you don't like Downton Abbey, you won't like this show! They are super similar in the idea of a group of people working together and living together in this time period! Also the huge difference between the upper class and the working class!

So I should clarify that :) And it is totally okay if you are not into the style of BBC. Not everyone loves the kinds of shows they do but I love most of them!

Hanging out with creative kids is the best!

Lava monster was like a must-play game for my friends and I! And then lava monster morphed into lava kids (where we were pretty much orphans who had to move around on snow sleds to avoid touching the lava, haha). Good memories, haha. :)

And I've never heard of Blogging for Books before, it sounds like a great site! Have you tried it?

i have been wanting to watch The Paradise! (i binge watch shows too) BBC has the best shows, hands down!

Victoria said...

Let's talk The Paradise....I've been watching it SLOWLY over the course of the summer. I love it and I hate it. Does it get better? It feels like a show without real substance, just a bunch of deceptive people and one sweet girl who is going to be forced to be sneaky to take care of herself. I haven't given up yet! Tell me I will be glad that I kept watching!

Meg McIlvaine said...

I meannnnnn, I loved it! I can't tell you anything or it will give the ending away! :) I say definitely keep watching!! :)

Meg McIlvaine said...

Eeeeeep! Lady, you need to watch it! I need more BBC recommendations!! I mean, I've watched bunches, but I'm sure there are some on Netflix that I've missed.

Meg McIlvaine said...

haha!! print it!! :)
you are welcome. :)
let me know what you think!! i haven't ordered a book yet...just signed up last night.

Meg McIlvaine said...

Go for it!!

Elizabeth Mayberry said...

Wow girl! Slowly? How can you? I watched all eight episodes in two days! HAHA. You must be on some of the first ones because there are a lot of nice people - not all perfect because of life circumstances, but a lot of nice people!

Meg McIlvaine said...

Woohoo!
Ummmmm, it was @hellolovelypeople_ on instagram. :) Buuuuut I think it was just for that one day...
