MEET ME ON THE WATER. | THE KLACKNERS

MEET ME ON THE WATER.

Last week while my family was in town, we loaded up the boats and drove up to my favorite spot for an afternoon on the lake. It was a Tuesday, no one else was out there, and the water was smooth as glass. It was the last day of September before we officially entered the autumn months, and I couldn't have imagined a better way to spend it.

When I retire (in like 100 years), I have officially decided I want to live in a cabin by a lake in the mountains. Y'all can come visit me any time. Okay? Okay. Just a little side note for your Wednesday. ;) XOXO.

I love these shots, Meg! I feel like I'm there :)

My mother is debating selling some land she owns in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania. I kept telling her, NO. I want to have the ability to build a lonely little old lady house up there and be secluded with all my pets when I'm old and widowed (is that depressing?!).

ANYWAY, the point of that weird anecdote is, I totally get the cabin by a lake in the mountains dream. :)

"I want to go to there." 1 - Tyler and I have the same retirement dream, let's get cabin's next to each other. 2 - do you have one of those water safe zip bag things for your phone?

GORGEOUS photos! Wow! I don't know if it's because I grew up in the desert, but the whole idea of lakes and cabins and wonderful outings like this make my heart giddy and tranquil...if that's even a thing.

Oh my gracious!
So beautiful!
Thanks for the tour! :)
Maybe SOMEDAY we'll go kayaking together!

Being out on the water is the best! Especially when there is family involved. :)

So since you've decided on a cabin by the lake in the mountains and I'm pretty much set on a cottage by the sea...We'll just have to visit each other whenever we need a change of scenery!

I keep seeing pictures of people boating or running around in t-shirts and I keep getting so jelly because I was scraping ice off my windshield already this morning! I'm glad you are continuing to enjoy the good weather, though. :)

Aw! It is slowly cooling down here, and I am really excited about being able to wear autumn clothes all day without getting too warm! Haha!

Meg McIlvaine said...

AHH thanks!! I love those little trees in the water. They have been there for years and it's been fun to watch them grow every summer. :)

Meg McIlvaine said...

I just love that lake! I grew up going there every summer!

Meg McIlvaine said...

Eeeeeeps. I know. I wanted to take so many pictures of them.
Hahahaha. Let's do it.

Meg McIlvaine said...

Yay!!! Let's be neighbors.

Meg McIlvaine said...

Thank you! It seriously was. I loved going on a weekday when there were no other boats out there.

Meg McIlvaine said...

This is PERFECT! Because I love the beach, but I don't want to live there permanently. This will work out great for both of us! :)

Meg McIlvaine said...

Lady!!! I want to go kayaking with you in Alaska. Seriously, your photos are breathtaking.

Meg McIlvaine said...

Haha! I love that!

Meg McIlvaine said...

I mean, it's already been decided that we are going to live near each other, so why not in log cabins? ;) It's perfect! And yes! I do have one!

Meg McIlvaine said...

Goooooooooo. Seriously, you should do it!

Meg McIlvaine said...
