WEEKEND UPDATE

RECAPS
1 | My sugar tooth has a sugar tooth. I kind of love sweets. Sorry I'm not sorry. I met up with my cousin last week at The Hot Chocolatier for coffee and dessert. If you are ever passing through Chattanooga, be sure to swing by and grab something for the road!

2 | I need to up my running game. So on Saturday, I had a movie night in with my friends Todd and Alex. We grabbed some pizza and ran by Redbox to pick up The Maze Runner. Have y'all seen it? It ended and I immediately said that I needed to read the books. I ordered them from Amazon as soon as I got home. Haha! Also, I decided I need to up my running game just in case I ever get put in a crazy maze, or you know, maybe the hunger games. #alwaysbeprepared

3 | Winter days. Winter in Tennessee means a lot of cloudy, gloomy, rainy days. Thankfully, one of those days last week was a snow day! It snowed all afternoon, but it wasn't cold enough outside for it to stick around. Sad day. We had a couple of sunny days last week and I soaked them up as much as I could. Gotta get that Vitamin D when you can!

4 | Babies, babies, babies. I got to go visit my coworker and her baby again last week. He is just the sweetest little guy. So many adorable rolls and such an expressive face. Several of my friends are having babies in the upcoming months, and I'm busy with finding perfect baby gifts and planning and attending baby showers.

Babies' expressive faces are the best! You can say the most ridiculous thing in the world but they will still honour your speech with that angelic smile. Heh.

Sounds like a lovely weekend. And I had no idea that a fully illustrated Harry Potter book had ever come into existence, and this news has made my day!

I almost got The Maze Runner this weekend... but opted to just catch up on Parenthood episodes instead. Ha!

That was exactly my reaction after seeing The Maze Runner (except I'm on a book buying freeze so I'm waiting to get a copy from the library).

Even though I live near Chattanooga, I've never heard of The Hot Chocolatier. I will have to convince my husband that we need to go! Any specific recommendations?

Oh, y'all definitely should stop by. We split some chocolate mouse goodness. Their frozen hot chocolate is pretty good too!
