FEBRUARY GOALS

This year is already slipping by. How is it February?? Anybody else feel like this year is speeding past us? There are so many things I want to complete this year, but in looking back at last year, I realize I tried to take on too much. So this year, although there are multiple things on my list of goals, I want to tackle only a handful at a time in an effort to reduce stress and becoming overwhelmed! :) You with me? Let's complete our goals together!

JANUARY REVIEW

1 | Practice Spanish every day - Check! I've been doing Duolingo every day for the past 40 days, and I love it! I taking it at a slow and steady pace, so it will be a loooooong time before I'm back to speaking with confidence, but I am excited to be re-learning something I enjoyed so much a few years back. I'm going to keep this up!

2 | Work out at least four days a week - Weeeeeeell, I didn't get in my four days every week, but I did make an effort to work out and I got in several days this month. I'm calling this goal a success since I DID work out. ;)

3 | Complete five more chapters in Blog Life - Oopsies! I didn't get to this AT ALL. It's going on my list for next month!

FEBRUARY GOALS

1 | Read two chapters in The Circle Maker - I started this book before Christmas and got a couple of chapters in and need to start reading it again!

2 | Work out four days a week - I'm keeping this on my list of goals each month so I can hold myself accountable. When I am old and gray, I want to look back and be able to say I made the effort to take care of my health. Working out is just one way I can do that in order to keep my heart happy and healthy. :)

3 | Complete five more chapters in Blog Life - Guys, it's not like I don't want to finish this course, but it is so hard to find time to sit down and finish it! It's SO good and I want to be able to work on the various chapters when I can give my full attention to it. Slow and steady.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS THIS MONTH?

i love how you're feeding off of each month, like if you don't complete one fully, you just push it to the next until it becomes crossed off - i need to do that hahahaha ;)
also get that workout on - look at you! i haven't been as consistent this month.
My GOAL: MWF - strength training with the TRX, HIIT, Tabata workouts TTSaturday - running and abs. haha...that didn't really happen last month.

Congrats on completing or working towards most of your goals in January! I didn't set any goals specifically for January but I set some themes and they were met (for the most part)! Started Zumba and its inspired me to try other things!

Good luck with your goals this month. I like your idea of focusing on a few things each month to avoid getting too overwhelmed.

Last year my yearly resolutions only lasted until the end of January. I'm doing a similar thing, only keeping up with monthly goals and so far I've not only kept up with them but I'm enjoying them! I'm hoping that your goals go well this month!

I just went and add The Circle Maker to my wish list. I have so many books half finished. What is the Blog Life? Sounds good. I have a book that I took me forever to read b/c I wanted to get as much as I could out of it.

Go you for studying Spanish so diligently! That's super awesome! Blog Life is on my goals for this month too. It's carving out that time with no distractions that seems to be difficult.

Blog Life is a course the A Beautiful Mess has done. It's been really great so far! I recommend it if you're looking for solid material on growing and marketing your blog!

Ha! Get on it, girl! I love Duolingo :)

Meg McIlvaine said...

Marissa! That is the way I have to do it. Resolutions never work for me. So I just focus on a few things a month. So much easier!

I like that goal! My problem is that I start 3 books at the same time and it takes me forever to finish. Haha!

Meg McIlvaine said...

Thank you! Oh man, Zumba. I would be a riot in Zumba, and by a riot, I mean I would be awful at it. HAHA.

Meg McIlvaine said...

Yeah girl! It's so I don't feel like a complete failure at the end of every month. ;) HAHA
