CURRENTLY | VOL. 11

MAKING | A new recipe at least once a month. We just made Swedish meatballs last week and they were SO GOOD. Full disclosure, the meatballs themselves weren't homemade this time (they will be next time), but I did make the sauce! And Shane sent me a recipe yesterday for some delicious chicken wings that we're going to try in the next couple of weeks. Wish us luck.

WATCHING | Fixer Upper. I wanted a new show to watch that didn't require me to be watching the whole time. Something I could just turn on while I was working on blog posts or photo editing. But to be honest, there aren't very many good shows these days, so I went back to a wholesome classic, the Gaines family.😂 It's actually been so fun going back and watching old seasons and drawing inspiration for our current home and our future home! It makes my little interior design heart happy.

WEARING | Any time I'm not at work, you can find me in my favorite black skinnies, the best leggings ever, or my favorite lightweight joggers paired with a cozy tee and my Melanzana. I am all about wearing things that are comfortable. Ain't nobody got time for clothes that don't make you feel good. Plus, I live in Colorado. I can pretty much get away with wearing flannels and pullovers most everywhere.

READING | Rhythms of Renewal. My BFF and I are reading through this book together and I'm really excited about it. I've skimmed through the topics and read the first couple of chapters and am really loving how practical the book is and how it provides discussion questions and thoughtful homework to help you process.

LISTENING | The author of the book above also has a podcast she hosts with her husband called Rhythms for Life that I just started listening to yesterday, but I'm already hooked. They have some amazing guests on the show, and I've been super encouraged and seen by them.

MISSING |
Warm weather. Y'all, every winter I get excited about our first snow because it's new for that year and it's pretty and magical. However, when your winter starts in October and you've only made it to February and potentially getting snow up until June, it really starts to wear you down. I'm so ready for warm, sunny days in Colorado to come and STAY for a while.

ANTICIPATING | Going off the warm weather theme, I'm really looking forward to our beach trip in April. I cannot wait to go sit by the ocean all day, read a book, and just relax. I don't know about you, but when I go to the beach, I don't want to do much. Beach trips aren't really about adventuring for me. They are for setting up my umbrella, planting myself under it, and digging my toes into the sand all day long.
