MY 2020 LIST

Dear Megan, what hopes do you have for the next year?

Well, here we are on April 1st and in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. So many of my "hopes" for this year have been canceled or rescheduled. Our 1st anniversary trip won't be happening, but we'll make the most of celebrating at home! And our family beach trip this month had to be moved to October. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't shed any tears about it all. But really I'm grateful to still have a job that I can do from home, to have a body that can move and workout and go on lots of walks, to have a wonderful house to keep my family safe, to have a puppy to cuddle, and to have a husband who goes to the grocery store for us during this season because it makes me feel very stressed. He loves me a lot.

So here's my hopeful list for 2020. While some of these things are very possible to do right now, the traveling ones will have to wait, but we think we'll still get to do the outdoor trips and adventures we love later this year!

  1. Go to the mountains once a month (day trips count.)
  2. Visit one new National Park.
  3. Continue in a consistent workout routine.
  4. Make one new recipe a month.
  5. Read at least 10 books.
  6. Grow in my photography skills.
  7. Eat more fruits and vegetables.
  8. Journal at least once a week.
  9. Do 2 getaways just with my husband. Camping trips count!
  10. Stick to our monthly budget.
  11. Try a new restaurant in C. Springs.
  12. Go to the beach with family.
  13. Grow in my self-confidence.
  14. Watch the Harry Potter movies with Shane.
  15. Dig deeper into the Enneagram.
  16. Attend church consistently.
  17. Deepen friendships within our small group.
  18. Practice letting go of control more often.
  19. Be gracious with myself and others.
  20. Visit a state Shane and I have never been to.

Did you make a 2020 list? I know, I'm WAY late on mine. But if you have one, share it in the comments! I'd love to read it.😊

P.S. I got this idea from my friend Amy. Check her out!
