snowPAXalypse.

one thing you may not know is that here on the east coast, winter storms have names (just like hurricanes have names.) the winter storm that came through a couple weeks ago was named "leon" and last week's storm was named "pax". a friend decided we should refer to this event as the snowPAXalypse. get it?? it's funny. ;)

last wednesday night i fell asleep in tennessee, and on thursday morning, i woke up in narnia. i peered out my window to see a world covered in ten inches of heavenly snow. white fluffy powder. it was magical. i squealed, threw on my snow boots, grabbed my camera, and snapped away before the snow could melt. as i walked through the woods taking pictures, i couldn't help but wonder if mr. tumnus would hop out from behind a tree and ask me over for tea.

what's the weather like where you live?

We have roughly 3 feet of the stuff. It's over my poor pups head! Ever notice how blue the sky looks after a fresh snow?

Holy cow! I'd love to tell you about Southern California weather...but...you know..... Sunshine everyday. 60's-70's EVERYday. Wind changes it up here and there. Totally boring stuffs!

Gorgeous photos! I love the shots with the snow covered trees. Snow is definitely one of my favorite scenes, but we don't get much of it in South Alabama. We had our small snow/ice storm a couple weeks ago, but now, it's warmer and almost spring like. I'm hearing we may get some severe weather, which I'm definitely not a fan of!

Snow is one of my favorite things in this world. It is so pure and beautiful! The weather today is very springish! Isn't that so funny...10 inches of snow a few days ago and 60 something degrees today :)

I'm not going to lie, I love the snow, but I have spring fever!! I think I have a vitamin D deficiency!!

I was seriously breathless when I looked out my window that morning. I also turned into a kid...I was so excited! It warmed up so quickly that day, and the snow melted a ton by the afternoon. It was pretty while it lasted!

Wouldn't that have been great? I would have died of happiness :)

Megan McIlvaine said...

Pretty, pretty photos! I looove the close-up ones and I also love the ones where you can see snow falling in the background. :) Okay, I take it back, there really are so many great ones!!!

And I completely agree with what you said about waking up to a winter wonderland. That is seriously the best thing to wake up to!

Great photos! My favorite is the one of the up-close leaf with the snow on it. I'm actually wishing we had some snow out here in Utah. We need it or there will be a really bad drought this summer. But it's been in like the 40s/upper 30s recently.
