GALENTINE'S DAY + A GIVEAWAY

Valentine's Day is coming up this weekend, and I'm sure you all have a variety of plans. Maybe you're married or dating and you have some fabulous night out planned, or perhaps you prefer a chill night at home. Or maybe you're on the single train like me and you're spending the day with you best friends from college who just happen to be coming in town! Hey hey, Galentine's Day! Whatever your situation may be, I think we can all have fun on Valentine's Day by making it full of telling our friends and loved ones how much they mean to us.

As a single gal, it's meant a lot to me to be surrounded by friends on Valentine's Day in the past. A favorite Valentine's memory comes from my college years. Two of my best friends came over, we made lasagna, ate far too many chocolate chip cookies (is there such a thing as "too much" chocolate??), and watched the winter olympics together. It wasn't much and it wasn't glamorous, but it meant the most to me. In the years since then, my friends and I have always made it a priority to let each other know they are loved on Valentine's Day, especially if we can't all be together to celebrate Galentine's Day style.

One of my favorite ways to tell my friends I love them is through encouraging notes and gifts! Cardstore has these super cute "love coupon" printables. An entire sheet of free and fun coupons to use, with one that is customizable. I printed off several and made one to include in notes to several of my friends! Coffee dates, movie nights, outdoor adventures...all going to the friends who will appreciate them the most. :)

I'm sure you know lots of people who need to be told that they are loved this Valentine's Day. They need to be reminded and encouraged. So get to printing, and come up with some creative ways to shower them with kindness. And because I love ya, I'm giving you the chance to win 10 cards of your choice from Cardstore. :) Happy Monday to you!

These are so cute!! My favorite Valentine's Day memory was 2 years ago when we were seniors in high school. I was gone on a basketball tournament so I left Caleb a scavenger hunt around our school with presents that he opened on the hour, every hour! Even though we were apart, it made everything seem better :)

I love how Valentine's Day can just be a great day to focus on the people important to us - whether they're friends or significant others. Even after getting married, my husband and I try not to get caught up in the hype and just find a quite way where we can invest in each other instead of shouting over a crowd. These coupons are such a fun idea!

When we tried to go to Chick-Fil-A to avoid the crowds but they were doing a huge Valentine's Day event! It was super adorable.

My favorite Valentine's memory from childhood was going in to school and getting to give all my classmates valentine's. Also, one year my dad was out of town and mailed my brother and I a huge box of candy and little heart shaped toys and a movie. It was pretty great :)
