FIVE THINGS YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME | VOL. 5

1 | Most of my best friends either live out of town or out of state.
Either way, I have to (get to) travel to go visit them. I made best friends who moved away after college, or I had best friends from high school who lived far away from me in the first place. The perk of this predicament is related to the following...

2 | I love to travel.
Don't get me wrong, I'm also a total homebody. However, I love getting away, adventuring, and experiencing something new. I like to take trips to visit friends, go places I've never been, meet new people, have new experiences, etc. At the end of the trip, though, as much as I hate for it to be over, I'm also always ready to sleep in my own bed and spend time in the hills of Tennessee.

3 | I will not share my toothbrush with anyone.
This is one I recently discovered about myself. Haha! Someone forgot their toothbrush and asked to borrow mine, and I seriously couldn't bring myself to share. Like ever. SO MANY GERMS. Ew.

4 | I hate eating by myself in public.
It just feels lonely, and you always feel like everyone is staring at you. I can eat at home alone just fine. But put a meal in front of me all by my lonesome out in public, and I'm 100% more likely to spill everything on myself because I'm so nervous and self-conscious.

5 | I am 5'7".
It's funny to me in this online world that you cannot always tell how tall people are just by looking at photos. I'm apparently average height, but the fact is that I am taller than the majority of my gal pals. I tower over my Colorado bestie, but we always forget how much taller I am until we look back at photos of us together. Ha! How tall are YOU??

TELL ME SOMETHING RANDOM ABOUT YOU!

I don't like eating by myself in public either... even if I have something to do like read a book... still feels weird!

I didn't know that toothbrush sharing is a thing. I agree, that's incredibly gross.

And I'm also 5'7" but my friends have forever been shorter, so I didn't realize that was average height!

I used to hate eating in public by myself. My job however has gotten me out of that bubble and it is like my new normal. When I see people in restaurants by themselves however I still feel bad for them, even though that is me 50% of the time!

If 5'7" is average, then I am a shrimp at 5'4"! I seem to have a lot of tall friends, too, which doesn't help my image. ;-) And...no. I would NEVER share my toothbrush. I can't believe someone asked to borrow yours, quite frankly. If I ever shared mine, I wouldn't want it back. It would be like asking for a kleenex back when they were finished...

I'm 5'7" too! Too fun :)!

I'm 5'3'', but I had no idea that was so far below average. Fun fact: I can never reach the items on the top shelf in the kitchen so I always use our tongs for the grill to grab things and pull them down!

I'm 5'7' too!! YAY us!! I am the same way I love to travel and do stuff, but sometimes I just love relaxing too! All my besties live out of state too, but I really don't have anyone in Wv.

It was funny to see your photos with Sam because she always looks so tall in her photos. But since I've met you I actually had an idea of your height difference. haha. I love these lists of yours!

Meg McIlvaine said...

Yeah! My doctor always tells me that I'm average height, so I just got with it. haha.

Meg McIlvaine said...

The internet is such a strange place of accidental misconceptions. haha

Haha! Some people can do it, but I can't. I need my own toothbrush ;)
