We just got back from a whirlwind trip to Disney and I'm still reliving the magic through photos. I hadn't been to Disneyworld in about five years -- I went with my BFFs last time and it was a blast! But Shane and I hadn't ever been to Disney together, so this was a really special trip for us to get to experience the parks with each other.
The first day we hit up Magic Kingdom, and let me tell y'all, Magic Kingdom at Christmas time is my favorite!! It seriously makes all my magical Christmas dreams come true. Sorry I just said magic and Christmas too many times. Can't help myself! Moving on...I just love the energy of Disney. Even as an introvert, I can appreciate the hustle and bustle and excitement of families and kids making their way around the parks. That is until I've stood in too many lines for far too long. Haha!
It was a perfect day of riding the Jingle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, skipping passed the Tangled bathroom stop (please tell me why there is no Tangled ride??), hopping on a couple of coasters, and taking in the most magical lights and fireworks show known to man.
Our second day was spent in Hollywood Studios and Epcot. We started the morning off with our first time experiencing Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! Guys, it is seriously amazing. It's like you've stepped into another world (oh excuse me, planet) and you feel like you've landed in the middle of a galaxy far, far away. Disney does not hold back in the imagination and creation of new worlds like this. It was seriously amazing!
The boys wanted to ride a couple of rollercoasters, and since I get major motion sickness, I sat those out. I told Shane that's something I don't mind doing at Disney because great music plays the whole time and I get to people-watch while I wait.
After lunch, we headed over to Epcot and took to the skies on Soarin', which is one of my favorite rides! I love the stunning views and the smells that accompany each scene. We also go to experience the Frozen ride for the first time and it was so fun! Shane even labeled it as enjoyable, and he hasn't ever seen the movie!😊
We spent our afternoon and evening grabbing yummy foods from different countries in Epcot (the food and wine festival was going on) and running back and forth across the park to catch different rides. Epcot just started a new lights show called "Epcot Forever" and we were so impressed by it. I wasn't sure how it would compare to Epcot's old "Illuminations" show, but I've got to say I think it's even better! My mouth was open wide with wonder the entire time and I kept yelling "WHAT!" in excitement as fireworks and fun surprises filled the night sky.
What do you love about Disney?
