HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Happy Thanksgiving, friends! 

Right now I'm probably in the kitchen with my mama worrying over a turkey. This is only my second time cooking one! If all is going well, the smell of yummy baked goods is filling the air, since I'm baking multiple apple pies this year (at my husband's request.)

Hopefully the Macy's Day Parade is on in the background, and I'll probably be loving it while also making fun of all the performers who are lip-syncing.😂 Football games will inevitably be watched later today, and we'll sit around the living room playing games of our own. And this afternoon, we'll gather around the table to eat a (hopefully) delicious meal, giving thanks for all that Jesus has done for us this year.

As hard as a year can be at times, it's so good for me to stop for a moment, remember, and give thanks for all the wonderful moments and things that can slip by unnoticed and overlooked in the midst of a hectic life.

This year I am beyond thankful for:

My husband. He loves his imperfect wife so well, with kindness and thoughtfulness, and with a willingness to grow and change together as we figure out this beautiful thing called marriage.

My home. This place that we have labored over to make it a place we love, a place to invite strangers and friends into, and a place to call our own.

My friends and family. The people who love me on my best days and my worst days. The people who support me emotionally and spiritually. They are a true gift.

Of course, this list could go on and on, but I've got a pie in the oven and green bean casserole to make! Already looking forward to my afternoon nap. Okay bye!
